Our Mission

Stark Electrical Engineering is experienced in the design and engineering of electrical, teledata, fire and security alarms for industrial, commercial and institutional buildings/structures. The Stark Electrical Engineering team is made up of over a dozen knowledgable and hardworking staff members; including, project managers, CAD operators and support personnel to ensure that your project is handled with accuracy, efficiency and professionalism. On top of this, President Mike Abbott personally reviews each and every project before applying his stamp of approval.

Michael C. Abbott, P.E.

Mike Abbott is president of Stark Electrical Engineering located in Canton, Ohio. A Canton native, Mike graduated from Canton South High School in 1989 as class valedictorian. He earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering with honors from the University of Notre Dame in 1993.

After working briefly as a power plant construction engineer for the Commonwealth Edison Co. in Chicago from 1993 to 1995, Mike returned to Ohio to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Mike holds a state certification as a registered professional engineer in Ohio. He is a past president of the Builders Exchange of North Central Ohio, past vice president of St. Mary’s Parish Council, past co-chair of Canton Local Schools Technology Planning Committee and currently is a member of the Rotary Club of Canton Board of Trustees.

Mike and his wife Barbara reside in Canton with their son Dominic.
